How much are memberships? Our membership rates vary based on individual needs! We believe everyone should have the option to train as much as possible so all our memberships include unlimited classes per month. If you'd like to know more about rates and scheduling please reach out to us to set up a trial class and we'd be happy to go over everything at the academy.
-
Why can't I find your rates on the website? If you're serious about your training and safety, price shopping academies simply is not a good way to decide where to train. Whether you choose to train with us or at a different academy, there are certain things everyone should look for. Cleanliness, atmosphere and the level of training the professors/coaches offer should be top of the list. For these reasons we invite everyone into the academy to discuss pricing options & schedules so you can see first hand what you're paying for! We are confident enough in our academy and coaches to invite you in and not try to "sell" you on price over the phone or email.
-
I am interested in a membership, what is the sign up process like?"Simple! We follow the same routine with everyone that is interested in classes. Before anything, we will have you come in and do a trial class. The trial class is free and you are under no obligation to sign up by doing it! We do this first because we want you to come in, see the academy, meet the coaches and try a class to see if this is the right fit for you! After your trial class we will review the schedule and pricing options to make sure you are able to get the best bang for your buck. **Our schedule is also available on Instagram in the highlights**
-
How do I find your schedule? We offer classes throughout most of the day and our schedule can accomidate most everyone. If you'd like to have a copy to save to your phone, we can send you one directly or you can find a copy of it on our Instagram in the highlights. THENEXTELEMENTACADEMY@GMAIL.COM

What should I bring to my trial class? If you have never trained before just worry about bringing yourself! Make sure to wear comfy "gym" type clothes, no pockets or zippers, and slip on shoes. If you have trained before and have a gi, boxing gloves and shin guards, bring those! ** If you are under 18 or are bringing someone under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must accompany them** There are no exceptions to this.**
-
Do you offer advanced or competition training?Yes! We have advanced training 4 days a week and the class is blue belt & up. If you have more questions about the advanced/competition training please reach out to us.
-
Do you offer self defense classes? For us, self defense, is an accumulation of Boxing, Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu. Training all 3 of these will help give you more confidence in different self defense situations. All of our coaches relate the techniques used in class to real life situations and help you learn what to do if the unthinkable happens. It is important for everyone to feel like they are able to defend themselves and we encourage everyone who walks through our doors to take as many different classes here as possible! For women specifically, Jiu Jitsu is GREAT self defense training. Jiu Jitsu is built on the understanding that a smaller opponent, through technique, can escape or submit a larger, stronger opponent. We do not have women only classes here, because the majority of women are not worried about being assaulted by another women - you cannot efficiently train for the unthinkable without training with both men and women. If you have more questions or concerns about this, please contact us and we can chat more about it! If you are interested in specific situation self defense training, private lessons are available by appointment.

What are the age requirements for kids classes? Our Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu programs are for ages 8-14. We limit each age group so that every child has a training partner that resembles their age and size - because of this we ask that everyone fill in the kids classes form so that we are able to keep track of everyone wanting to come into the program and are able structure the class the best way for the kids. The kids schedule for Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu is Monday-Thursday 4pm-6pm with an optional kids competition class on Saturdays. Our Mini Rollers Jiu Jitsu program is for kids aged 5-7. This class will help prepare the younger kids for our Youth Wrestling and Youth Jiu Jitsu class. The class schedule is Tuesday and Thursday at 4pm and the kids are required to wear a uniform (GI). Our goal has never been, and never will be, to fill the classes with as many kids as possible. Above all else, we value the kids. We want them to have fun and learn in a safe, friendly and clean environment. The reason we have structured our kids classes the way we have is for the benefit of each child on the mats. To be added to the kids waitlist please follow the Kids Classes link at the top of the page. When considering this program please keep in mind the level of commitment Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling take. While we encourage kids to participate in any other sports that they are interested in, Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling are year round sports. **All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent for their first class. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS to this.**

I am interested in fighting MMA, what's next?If you want to have a successful fighting career, consistency is key. You will need to train Boxing, Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu - each of these elements are a piece of the MMA puzzle. Our schedule is setup to allow everyone, even beginners, to train in each class every week. We know how exciting it is when you first start training but burn out can happen quickly so we recommend following the suggested schedule for the first couple of months. We do have a fight team here, and require 6 months of consistent (class) training to join the team or get a fight. You cannot efficiently train with the team without a good foundation yourself, and you will use techniques learned in class during team training. Remember, 99% of MMA is behind the scenes work.
-
How long is the commitment? You have two options for your membership commitment, you can choose 6 months or 12 months. Jiu Jitsu, Boxing and Muay Thai all require a commitment to the sport if you want to really learn it. This is a marathon, not a sprint! Especially if you are training for self defense purposes. It takes your body and mind several months to be able to recall the information instinctly, and the only way to really learn is to train. For this reason, we require members to commit to either 6 months or 12 months when signing up.
-
What if my schedule changes? That is the wonderful thing about unlimited memberships! We are like the Netflix of Martial Arts schools - you pay once a month and can use your membership as much or as little as you want. We understand, especially with the kids classes, that things come up. Most of the kids in our program also participate in school sports, and having an unlimited membership allows them to adjust their training schedule here to fit with sports outside of here. We do not offer a pay per class option here because most could not afford to pay weekly what they're paying monthly for a membership.
-
How long is the kids waitlist? We do not have "open enrollment" at our academy. We operate off of the kids application list all year round due to high demand for the program and limited spacing in class. This allows us to make sure that the kids are getting the best quality training without classes becoming overfilled, quality training is far more important to us than the quantity of kids on the mats. We understand that having to wait can be frustrating and we appreciate everyone's patience as we try to work everyone in! Please know the waitlist is only there to benefit the kids and help ensure they meet their personal and competition goals. A few things to keep in mind : 1. Our minimum age requirement is 5 2. Spots are first come first serve BUT will also fill in by age and experience where needed 3. Jiu Jitsu is a highly competitive sport and most of our students compete, it is not required but encouraged 4. Jiu Jitsu is a marathon, not a sprint. It takes many years to learn and promotions are not time based, they are knowledge based. 5. We train and participate all year round, we do not take seasons off.
