About our membershipsThank you for your interest in our Academy! Here are some things you should know about our memberships : All of our memberships include unlimited training sessions. This means you can attend as many or as little classes each month as you choose - you are completely in control of your training schedule. We do not offer a "pay per class" option. We are a monthly membership based service - only charging one monthly fee is more cost effective for students and allows us to focus less on individual attendance payments and more on every student in class. It also gives students flexibility to change their schedule as needed, because life happens sometimes. We currently have classes 6 days a week and your membership gives you the convenience of being able to attend whenever you choose. You have to book and complete a trial class before signing up. We do not want anyone to sign up that does not want to be there. We do not believe in tricking people into a membership over the phone or online and locking them into a contract. Everyone who signs up should be excited to join and have a first hand look at how classes operate. We value transparency and communication. When you sign up you will see several documents posted around the academy and many of them will be given to you in paper copy when you sign up. There is no fine print with fees, signing up or cancelling - everything will be given to you when you sign up. We love our members and are a family. Our coaches invest a tremendous amount of time in our members, and they truly love their roles as being a coach. Whether it is traveling with students to competitions or doing private lessons to help people reach their goals, our coaches CARE and want to be there every week. Don't take our word for it though, come in and see!

I am interested in a membership, what is the sign up process like?"Simple! We follow the same routine with everyone that is interested in classes. Before anything, we will have you come in and do a trial class. The trial class is complimentary and you are under no obligation to sign up by doing it! We do this first because we want you to come in, see the academy, meet the coaches and try a class to see if this is the right fit for you! After your trial class we will review the schedule and pricing options to make sure you are able to get the best bang for your buck.

What should I bring to my trial class? If you have never trained before just worry about bringing yourself! Make sure to wear comfy "gym" type clothes, no pockets or zippers, and slip on shoes. If you have trained before and have a gi, boxing gloves and shin guards, bring those! ** If you are under 18 or are bringing someone under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must accompany them** There are no exceptions to this.**
-
Do you offer advanced Jiu Jitsu or competition training?Yes! We have advanced training 4 days a week for those who want to compete. If you have more questions about the advanced/competition training please reach out to us.
-
Do you offer self defense classes? For us, self defense, is an accumulation of Boxing, Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu. Training all 3 of these will help give you more confidence in different self defense situations. All of our coaches relate the techniques used in class to real life situations and help you learn what to do if the unthinkable happens. It is important for everyone to feel like they are able to defend themselves and we encourage everyone who walks through our doors to take as many different classes here as possible! For women specifically, Jiu Jitsu is GREAT self defense training. Jiu Jitsu is built on the understanding that a smaller opponent, through technique, can escape or submit a larger, stronger opponent. We do not have women only classes here, because the majority of women are not worried about being assaulted by another women - you cannot efficiently train for the unthinkable without training with both men and women. If you have more questions or concerns about this, please contact us and we can chat more about it! If you are interested in specific situation self defense training, private lessons are available by appointment.

What are the age requirements for kids classes? Our Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu programs are for ages 8-14. We limit each age group so that every child has a training partner that resembles their age and size - because of this we ask that everyone fill in the kids classes form so that we are able to keep track of everyone wanting to come into the program and are able structure the class the best way for the kids. The kids schedule for Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu is Monday-Thursday 4pm-6pm with an optional kids competition class on Saturdays. Our Mini Rollers Jiu Jitsu program is for kids aged 5-7. This class will help prepare the younger kids for our Youth Wrestling and Youth Jiu Jitsu class. The class schedule is Tuesday and Thursday at 4pm and the kids are required to wear a uniform (GI). Our goal has never been, and never will be, to fill the classes with as many kids as possible. Above all else, we value the kids. We want them to have fun and learn in a safe, friendly and clean environment. The reason we have structured our kids classes the way we have is for the benefit of each child on the mats. To be added to the kids waitlist please follow the Kids Classes link at the top of the page. When considering this program please keep in mind the level of commitment Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling take. While we encourage kids to participate in any other sports that they are interested in, Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling are year round sports. **All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent for their first class. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS to this.**

I am interested in fighting MMA, what's next?If you want to have a successful fighting career, consistency is key. You will need to train Boxing, Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu - each of these elements are a piece of the MMA puzzle. Our schedule is setup to allow everyone, even beginners, to train in each class every week. We know how exciting it is when you first start training but burn out can happen quickly so we recommend following the suggested schedule for the first couple of months. We do have a fight team here, and require 6 months of consistent (class) training to join the team or get a fight. You cannot efficiently train with the team without a good foundation yourself, and you will use techniques learned in class during team training. Remember, 99% of MMA is behind the scenes work.

How long is the commitment and how does a membership work? All of our memberships are month-to-month and include unlimited training. We have found this gives our members the most amount of flexibility. We believe everyone should be in charge of their own training schedule so we created all of our memberships to allow people access to as many classes a month as they would like to take (or as little). We do not offer per class pricing - this is way too much to keep track of and gets messy. We want our coaches to be able to focus solely on teaching and not the individual attendance of each student.
-
What if my schedule changes? That is the wonderful thing about unlimited memberships! We are like the Netflix of Martial Arts schools - you pay once a month and can use your membership as much or as little as you want. We understand, especially with the kids classes, that things come up. Most of the kids in our program also participate in school sports, and having an unlimited membership allows them to adjust their training schedule here to fit with sports outside of here. We do not offer a pay per class option here because most could not afford to pay weekly what they're paying monthly for a membership.

Training is a journey, and you need to make sure you enjoy the place you're training at! All new members are required to complete a trial class before signing up.
